It’s that time again when we introduce you to some must have iPad apps. This time, however, it’s not free iPad games, it’s iPad productivity apps. Those little gems of innovation that help you do stuff and generally get things done. Here are five of the newest productivity apps you can check out today.
5 Must Have iPad Productivity Apps
What is productivity? Well, it’s the act of doing something, or, getting things done. I think we can all generally agree that the iPad’s strength is in consuming great content but for all those out there blazing the trails of using it as a tool to get stuff done then these apps are just for you.
Scan To PDF ($1.99)
Scan To PDF allows you to obtain images of documents from your image library and convert them into great looking multi-page PDF files. The app includes a proprietary image processing algorithm that converts the color images taken from the camera into great looking black and white images.
Once the PDFs are generated, you can export them via email, printer, or to any other app that accepts PDFs. In fact, printing the PDFs essentially turns the app into a copy machine. Scan to PDF includes many image processing tools such as rotation, crop, copy to clipboard, grayscale, and others.
Since the iPad does not yet have a camera (yet) then you will have to use the camera connection kit or just sync with iTunes.
Great Decisions ($3.99)
Here is a great must have iPad productivity app for making decisions. Ever feel like you have too much on your mind? Great Decisions was created to free up your mind. A problem solving tool that will make your life much easier…when you need it. The app is based on a decision-making model called force-field analysis which is used in organizational development.
Great Decisions will remember what matters most to you for as long as you want. You will no longer have to force yourself to try and remember all the details that are often essential to making a critical decision. As a bonus you can also assign a personal weight to the values that are most important to you. Notice the arrows on the visual sample. Use your finger to slide that arrow back and forth to adjust its importance. To make it even easier Great Decisions will total up where you are in your thinking process.
SyncSpace ($1.99)
SyncSpace for iPad provides a zoomable drawing space that can be shared in real time over the net, a sort of shared whiteboard. Turn on synchronization and send a link to the document to others who will be able to see your drawing and also make changes.
The resulting drawings can be posted to Twitter, 37 Signals’ Campfire and Facebook or emailed as a PDF.
It’s the perfect whiteboard replacement for distributed teams. See a demonstration video at the developer’s website here.
Boxcar (Free)
This app is actually in the “Social Networking” category but I feel that it’s a huge productivity enhancer. And I also feel this is a great way to keep informed and on track. Boxcar is pretty easy to understand.
What makes this a must have iPad productivity app? It is perfect for keeping all your messages and notifications in one single place instead of wasting time checking all your sites and inboxes. The other productivity enhancer is the ability to send alerts regarding RSS feeds. This is also a great way to stay productive because you can get notified of important blog updates or news stories as they happen without the need to “catch up” later.
Sure, this may not be in the “Productivity” category but I feel Boxcar is certainly a great productivity app.

Meeting Pad ($2.99)
Recently updated this must have iPad productivity app is perfect for those that want to take their iPad to meetings.
Meeting Pad is the reason to take your iPad to every meeting you attend, if you’re meeting with one person or 20 people Meeting Pad will ensure you capture what was said, who attended and all the to-do actions.
Meeting Pad is the only iPad application that manages meetings, notes, to-do lists and attendees in one feature rich, intuitive application.
I feel this is a great productivity app for those that want to get the most out of their meetings rather than just take notes.
There are 5 must have iPad productivity apps. I’m nearly certain there are a ton more but these are a great place to start getting more use out of your trusty iPad. If you have others that are not on this list but are invaluable, please let us know in the comments below.
