Marvel Comics | Essential iPad Apps

This app offers comics book fans an exciting new way to experience the Marvel Universe using the iPad. Upon opening this app you will need to create a Marvel Comic Store account – don’t worry as this free. Upon confirmation of sign up you are given access to the comic book adventures of some of the world’s most popular super heroes, including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Spider-man, Wolverine and many more. To view the comic books you are given two options, a guide view, which is an animated, panel-by-panel set path through the pages, zooming in frame by frame, or by using regular device controls to zoom and pan. The animated panel-by-panel option proved to be the most workable. Whilst the animated path offers the edge when it comes to visual gloss, zooming in close to the stunning artwork to showcase the talents of the artists, by a generating a sense of dynamic movement to the static images. There is no replacement for reading a comic book as it was intended, page by page and with the increased size of the iPad screen this is entirely possible.

Having downloaded your choice of publications, each one including any free editions are linked directly to your Marvel.com account and not your hardware so any technical issues with your iPad will not result in the loss of your growing comic collection.
