Here is a great free app from Food & Wine magazine. It includes the same stuff the print version does but has bonus features you can only get on the iPad. They offer up great stories and of course a lot of good food and wine ideas. Their holiday edition will be out soon so it’s a great time to pick up the app. And did we mention it’s free?

I really like the Food Network app… and who doesn’t like epicurious, that’s my fav. There are few on here I haven’t tried yet. Gifts HD looks really interesting.
Can you recommend a good app for storing my own recipes? Something that has an easy way to input old recipes I have on index cards.
One other app that came in handy for me when getting thanksgiving dinner ready was KitchenPad Timer (www.prativo.com). If your doing a lot of cooking and baking for the holidays, could be useful.

My two favorites for recipes are “your Recipes HD” and Paprika. Both are excellent and paprika has a really cool feature I use a lot which is the ability to download any recipe you want and format it within the app.
