I got this great tip from a reader who stumbled upon an interesting use of his Timbuk2 iPad bag. Read on to see how this particular bag makes the perfect iPad stand…
Doyle Albee, President and Social Media Practice Director of Metzger Associates sent me this really great “hack” he discovered while using his Timbuk2 bag. He purchased a small timbuk2 messenger bag to carry his iPad and Bluetooth keyboard. It was the perfect solution because it has room for both of those items and it has a flap with reflectors stitched on them.
Well, as it turns out this bag has a secret use: it makes the perfect iPad stand. How? Well, as Doyle discovered all you have to do is put the iPad behind the vinyl reflectors (on the straps) and it holds it up both in portrait or landscape mode! Says Doyle, “I’ve never had it slip out, and it’s a perfect typing angle”. Several of their messenger bags have this style of strap with the reflective tape so if you are looking for one just make a note of the strap style.
You can see in this photo she sent how the iPad rests right on those velcro straps and it’s perfect as a stand – - which means less to carry!
Now this is what I call a great discovery. Not only has he got dual use out of his bag, but he now has much less to carry and a completely portable solution. I’d like to thank Dolye for being a reader and sending us this really great “hack”.

Hmm, will have to Check out that bag because I have the keyboard also.
Yeah, I think most all of the Timbuk2's have that reflective strip – - but it sure is a great use of that bag! That was an Awesome TIP
