iMessage Is The Best iOS 5 Features For Texting On Apple Devices

You thought it couldn’t get better but with iMessage on the iOS 5 you can use any of your Apple devices to text anyone you want, anywhere you want, using any device you want. If you have an Internet connection, iOS 5 features, then you can use any of your iPhone, iPads, or iPods to text message anyone on your list, for FREE.

iOS Features – iMessage

If you use iChat on your Mac then you know how iMessage works. It’s an IM client for sending text, photos, videos, and contacts to anyone. You can see a small ellipsis when someone is responding to your text message, just like the writing pencil in Skype. You can even setup an auto response that lets the other party know you’ve read their message.

iOS 5 Features | iMessages

This is one of iOS 5 features that lets you setup one email address for multi devices. iMessage allows you to start a message on one device and pick it up on another one. That means you can start on your iPhone and finish messaging on your iPad. The other party won’t even know you’re doing it on two different Apple devices.

Using iMessage is different than using SMS on an iPhone. With SMS you have a green background and when you use iMessage it shows up in blue. You have to pay for the use of SMS on your iPhone but with this great iOS 5 feature, there’s no charge. As long as you have a Wi-Fi or Internet connection you can text all the messages you want, free of charge. It’s like using chat on a computer or Skype. It’s also faster than SMS no matter what type of connection you have. When you send a text message via iMessage you’ll notice the difference in speed.

As long as the other contacts are using iOS 5, then you can use iMessages. It’s one of the new iOS 5 features that makes using iOS 5 worth the upgrade. You don’t have to worry about not being able to use SMS anymore because there are plenty of iPhone, iPads, and iPod that still haven’t upgraded to iOS 5. You’ll still be able to SMS message them. The advantage of the iOS 5 feature is the ability to use different devices to send text messages. Eventually, every one of your contacts will have this terrific iOS 5 feature but in the mean time you can still use SMS to stay in contact. Once all iPhones, iPads, and iPods are all upgraded to use all the great iOS 5 features then you can do away with your unlimited text plans with your carrier.

Hi George, I’m a little confused here. My son has an iPhone and when I texted him the iMessage screen showed up. When I texted another person who does not have the iPhone the Message screen shows. Why the difference? Thank you, Patricia

i am trying to send a friend a message in cloud and it says I can’t because the number is not a registered with iMessage. How do I register the phone number with imessage to use the service?
