This iPad case by Brenthaven is the perfect accessory if you want to store your laptop, phone, iPad, and all of the various chargers and accessories that go along with it. If you have been looking for something that is both high-quality and affordable then you will definitely want to check this out.
Overview
I have been searching for an iPad case that could accommodate both my iPad and my Macbook Pro (13”), along with all of the various chargers, cables and other accessories that I normally carry around. It’s no secret that I love the Belkin Vue sleeve but I also needed something that provided a little bit more since I often need to take along my laptop.
I believe I have found the solution. The Brenthaven Metrolite BP. This is the first case that I have found which actually has room for everything I take with me, along with all of the various accessories and all without compromising a lot of space.
Here are the features:
- Protective compartment for your laptop (up to 17”)
- Pocket for the iPad
- Quick Release shoulder straps
- PVC Free Materials
- Quick access iPhone (or other cell phone) pocket
- Laptop cord storage
The “Pocket for the iPad” was most likely not intended to be used this way but it works perfect as long as it is in a protective sleeve. You can see this in video above.
Storage Everywhere
In total, there are over 10 storage areas for all your things. One of the storage areas is lined with soft cloth to protect your iPhone or other cell phone. The main storage area on the back of the bag is where I put my iPad and it is well padded enough to protect it even if its resting against my back.
Design
Brenthaven is known for their high-quality design and use of PVC-free materials. They call this Zero Impact. This particular case is designed in a slim, upright way that provides ample room without looking short and squatty. The straps are well padded for your shoulders and the stitching is very well done. They offer a 100% lifetime guarantee on their patented 6-sided CORE Protection System (the part that holds your laptop) that is made of 2” high-density foam.
Bottom Line
This case (bag) is going to be with me for awhile. The fact that I can store everything in one place is enough reason for me to keep using it.

So, where's the security detail that goes with this bag full of expensive “i” and “mac” stuff?
ha! Yeah I agree – - when you add up everything I put in that crazy bag, it's a LOT of money – - perhaps it needs an electric shield around it
I don’t like the use of the term “Zero impact” because it makes me think since it’s a CASE, the item being protected inside it will suffer no effects of impact if it were dropped or something. Then I find out that it means the company has zero impact on the ENVIRONMENT. I bought a case from this company and it has a nice furry soft lining and a little pocket (a bit too little!) for accessories. The cardboard insert doubled as a cup holder, hence the “zero impact” thing.
The bag looks cool but I am not sure how secure the iPad is there in the compartment because it is not zipped in. If that compartment had a zipper it would be great.
There are one or two travel points which affect the practical aspects of any bag. Firstly, even if the bag can slide under the seat in front of you, chances are your feet will be on top the bag or knocking it. Try flying on a 5+ hour flight and you will see you really need that leg room. Secondly, my experience with flying is the annoying search in cramped space to locate your computer, then looking in another zippered compartment for the headphones, then looking again in another area for glasses and then for a pen and then for your sandwich, etc. So, if I choose a bag for an iPad, it must either have compartments that are designed to put peripherals that go together in one spot, or it must come with a sexy female and preferably nude genie that will pop right out and take care of everything for me.
