Take Your iPad As You Travel And You Will Never Get Lost Again!

With the release of Apple’s iPad 2, like man other apps that were available for the Phone, MotionX GPS has also been ported over to the iPad in the form of MotionX GPS HD. A lot of these ‘ported’ iPhone apps have been quite similar to the iPhone versions and haven’t really featured anything new; however, MotionX CPS has a few new tricks up its sleeve.

As we said; a lot of the apps that have previously been developed for the iPhone and then ported over to the iPad has been rather poor, but MotionX GPS HD was actually developed specifically for the iPad, it is for this reason that the app really takes advantage of the iPads larger screen and looks stunning on it. As well as looking great, MotionX GPS is one of the best GPS apps we have seen for the iPad and it is perfect for almost any outdoor excursion, whether it be walking, off road driving, hiking, sailing or almost anything you can think of, this app is the perfect tool to enable you to figure out where you are and where you are going.

The app itself features online maps that are provided by Google Maps, so you can be absolutely certain that they will be kept up to date and accurate. The app also gives you the option to download MotionX’s own maps that can be stored on the device. This is a great feature as you won’t always have an internet connection which you would need in order to access Google Maps. If you have the MotionX maps stored on your device then you wouldn’t have to worry about losing your internet connection at any point or going into an area that doesn’t allow you to get a good enough signal. This is a great little feature for the app. The app has many other useful features, such as the ability to save waypoints for your favourite locations and the ability to convert any location to the nearest known physical address. This is a great little feature if you are lost and just want to find civilisation again, which could be the case if you take this app on a long adventure.

This is a super GPS app for the iPad and it is great that it can be used for almost any means of travel that you decide to take. Obviously, this app will work best with the 30 model of the iPad but it could also be used with Wi-Fl as well, although we wouldn’t recommend it.
