Functionally speaking, My Photo Books is a pretty straightforward tool for collating photos into themed collections, and, if you choose, adding a ‘comment’ to each one. Its primary selling point is its 11 album templates: ranging from a pared-back ‘basic’ version, through to colourful themed designs for weddings, birthdays, babies etc.

Creating an album simply involves picking a theme, scrolling through the different frames on offer (up to 20 per theme) and then picking a shot from your existing library. Alternatively, you could take a new shot right there and then, with your iPad camera.

Albums are arranged along a virtual shelf and you can tap the image to view it full-screen, or Facebook or email, direct from the app. This is pretty much it though!
